Red Bluff, CA ➡️ Burney, CA

My job today was to get food donations instead of running, which we will each have to do a couple of times throughout the trip. We rely on donations for food so that all of the money we raise can go to young adults battling cancer through the Ulman Foundation.

We had some early success in Redding, CA, obtaining a grocery store giftcard and donuts thanks to kind store managers, and we were also able to get a few subway sandwiches donated once we reached Burney, CA. There was even time to visit Burney Falls, which was beautiful, and served as a natural ice bath for some of us since the water temperature was in the 40s.

We were welcomed by a WONDERFUL host in Burney; a few families from the church came to cook dinner for us, which was incredible, and they even provided breakfast for the next morning. I can’t wait for day 4!
