Defiance, OH ➡️ Lakeside Marblehead, OH
(Sorry for not posting for so long to anyone who actually reads this!!)
Day 35 really started the night before when two of my teammates cut their hair to donate it to kids with cancer. We have a couple of people who are good at cutting hair, so they just chopped off 8” of hair from one person and 14” from another, which was really fun to see!
It was a great running day, as we ran for the loved ones of the family who invited us to their pond and welcomed us into their house the night before. I sent them an email with pictures of our legs with their names on them, and they were touched.
We ran into Lakeside Marblehead, which is a beautiful area in Ohio. We actually have a teammate from the area, and her family hosted us at their house for an incredible dinner. They also live right by Lake Erie, so it was a really cool place to get to hang out.
We stayed at a cute little church in the area that was kind enough to host us for the night. It wasn’t so nice being in a home for a delicious dinner and then being able to hang out and have a relaxing night by the lake and then at the church!
