Today was an amazing day full of some much-needed rest. I think most of us got at least 8 hours of sleep for the first time since before the start of 4K. Going to bed late, waking up around 4:30, then running throughout the day can definitely be exhausting, but I'm feeling much better better after a day of rest. After sleeping in, we went to Mount Rushmore, which was a great rest day activity. A couple of us ran into an older couple who asked about our cause. The man said he was a cancer survivor and was very appreciative of what we are doing, and tomorrow I will be dedicating my miles to Scott.

Not much happened today besides catching up on sleep and going to Mount Rushmore, but it was a great rest day. We have some lighter days mileage-wise coming up which will also be nice, and hopefully those of us who are pushing through injuries will have more time to heal in the next few days.

I am a 2019 graduate of Davidson College (B.S. in psychology), where I also played Division I field hockey.  I am planning on going into the medical field, and will be applying to graduate schools to pursue a career as a nurse or physician assistant after 4K.
