Salt Lake City, UT ➡️ Pocatello, ID

Today we crossed into our fourth state of the trip - Idaho. We’ll only be in the state for one night, but I’ve already fallen in love with the views, rolling hills, and mountains in the distance. It has been really cool to see the topography gradually change from our start in California to our current location in Idaho. We’ve been running through mostly back roads going through farmland and pastures recently; I definitely saw more cows, bulls, horses, goats, etc. today than I have ever seen anywhere else. It has been intriguing to be able to catch a glimpse of such a variety of lifestyles in the states we’re passing through.

We each ran 12 miles today, bringing my total individual mileage to 85 miles in the past week and a half. I’m definitely thankful for the service day we had yesterday, even if there wasn’t really time to rest - the day off of running was just what my body needed, especially since we will be picking up more mileage soon.

Tomorrow we’ll cross into Wyoming and will be staying in Jackson for a night, which I’m really excited about, and then we’ll be making our way to Yellowstone!

Also, we have some mail drops throughout the summer, so if anyone wants to send me mail or packages, one of the pictures I am posting is a screenshot of information about all of our mail drops.

Dedication circle on the Utah Jazz court this morning!

I am a 2019 graduate of Davidson College (B.S. in psychology), where I also played Division I field hockey.  I am planning on going into the medical field, and will be applying to graduate schools to pursue a career as a nurse or physician assistant after 4K.
